Reflection As an Assistant Principal at Bailey Station for the past 11 years, I have made it my mission to develop the professional capacity and practice of teachers and staff to promote each student’s academic success and well-being. I have led each grade level that I work with through the PLC at work process where we focus on disaggregating data, smart goal setting, planning, implementation, and evaluation for continuous school and student improvement. Due to strong collaboration and commitment to the PLC process, students' achievement scores improved by 13.6% On Track/Mastered in math on the TNReady Assessment. These students also showed significant growth of 3.3% above the growth standard. The SRTI team, comprised of teachers, counselors, and therapists, meet weekly to complete an extensive review of student data in an effort to develop and implement appropriate interventions that address students' academic, social, and/or emotional needs. One of my key responsibilities is to promote success by facilitating the development and implementation of a vision of learning. I have achieved this by helping to craft our School Improvement Plan that guides our work on a daily basis.
